Astral CTX 360
Higher pressure for more demanding pool setups. The CTX 360C is designed to deliver stronger head pressure than many standard single speed pool pumps. That makes it especially useful for systems that need extra push, such as in-floor cleaning, spa jets, water features, longer pipe runs, or equipment positioned further from the pool.
More flow than the CTX 280C. With a flow rate of 360 lpm at 8m head, the CTX 360C gives you a clear performance upgrade over the smaller CTX 280C. This makes it better suited to medium and larger residential pools, or pools where the pump needs to support more than basic filtration.
Moves more water in fewer running hours. The benefit of a higher-flow pump is not just stronger performance. In the right setup, the CTX 360C can circulate a larger volume of pool water in fewer hours per day, helping support better water turnover and reducing unnecessary runtime.
Reduced noise for a more comfortable outdoor area. Pool pump noise matters, especially when equipment is installed near an entertaining area, bedroom wall, fence line, or neighbour’s property. The CTX 360C is built with reduced operating noise in mind, making it a more comfortable choice for everyday residential use.
Reliable, simple, and easy to live with. Not every pool needs a complex variable speed system. The CTX 360C is a strong single speed pump with quality internal components, simple operation, and proven reliability — a good balance of performance, durability, and simplicity.

Who It’s For
The CTX 360C is a great fit if you:
- Have a medium to larger residential in-ground pool
- Need stronger water movement than a smaller pump can provide
- Run spa jets, in-floor cleaning, water features, or higher-pressure pool equipment
- Want a reliable single speed pump that is simple to operate
- Are replacing an older 1.25 HP single speed pool pump
- Want a step up from the CTX 280C without moving into the larger CTX 400C or CTX 500C models
You may want to consider a smaller pump if:
- Your pool is compact and only needs basic filtration
- You do not run spa jets, in-floor cleaning, or pressure-demanding equipment
- Your installer calculates that the CTX 280C provides enough flow for your pool volume
You may want to consider a variable speed pump instead if:
- Energy savings are your top priority
- Your pool runs for long hours every day
- You want quieter low-speed filtration during normal daily operation
- Your local requirements or installation rules favour variable speed pumps

The CTX 360C is best matched to pools where the plumbing, filter, chlorinator, and equipment layout can comfortably handle the pump’s output. For best results, your installer should confirm the correct pump size based on pool volume, pipework, suction line size, filter capacity, and any attached spa or cleaning system.
Installation & Maintenance
The Astral CTX 360C should be installed by a licensed pool technician or electrician. Connection to mains power must comply with Australian electrical standards, and the pump should be installed on a stable, level base with suitable weather protection and drainage.
For best performance, the pump should be positioned as close to the pool as practical to reduce head loss. It should also be properly primed before first use, with all pipework checked for air leaks, correct valve positions, and suitable water flow.
Ongoing maintenance is simple but important. Clean the strainer basket regularly, especially after storms, windy weather, or heavy leaf fall. Check the pump lid o-ring periodically and keep it clean and lubricated as recommended by your pool technician. An annual equipment check is also a smart idea, particularly if the pump is running spa jets, in-floor cleaning, or longer daily filtration cycles.
